Sports Physicals will need to be on file with the Activities Office prior to practice. Please contact the office to verify your son/daughter has a physical on file.

Middle school track will hold their own registration meeting later in March. Please check back for details.

Sports Physicals

Here is a quick reference for the frequently asked questions regarding sports physicals:

  1. All students participating in either high school or middle school activities will need a current sports physical on file with the athletics office prior to practice. (7th grade - bring your form to the high school athletics office - not the middle school.) Please use the link available on our site to download the form for your doctor visit.
  2. Your sports physical is different than a well-child visit or immunization visit. Please specify with your clinic that a sports physical is needed.
  3. A new physical must be completed every 3 calendar years. If you believe you have a current physical on file, or need to check the date, please contact the office.
  4. It is sometimes difficult to find an appointment time with the clinic right before a season begins. Please plan in advance for your child's appointment.

Any other specific questions can be directed to our office. Please call 651-385-4614.

Positive Coaching Alliance

Red Wing High School is partnering with the Positive Coaching Alliance for the 2015-2016 school year.  In cooperation with the PCA we are offering three training/information sessions on how to make sports a positive part of our students' lives.  During the year this year we will be having a half-day session with coaches, athletes, and trainers from the PCA on creating triple-impact competitors.

Triple-Impact Competitors make positive contributions on three levels:

  1. Personal Mastery: Making oneself better
  2. Leadership: Making one’s teammates better
  3. Honoring the Game: Making the sport better
